INVITATION TO SUBMIT COMMENTS ON THE DRAFT YOUTH DEVELOPMENT POLICY 2026

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 21 of the Municipal Systems Act (Act 32 of 2000) that the Municipal Council approved the Draft Cape Agulhas Youth Development Policy on 9 December 2025 and invites the public to submit comments.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a coherent and integrated framework to promote, coordinate and institutionalise youth development within the Municipality. It seeks to empower young people to realise their full potential, actively participate in governance, and contribute meaningfully to the social and economic development of their communities.

The draft policy is available for inspection on the Municipal Website at: https://capeagulhas.gov.za/documents/policies-strategies-and-plans/policies/planning-and-community-services/

Written comments must be submitted on or before 21 May 2026 through the following channels: · Email: info@capeagulhas.gov.za

· Hand delivery: Bredasdorp, Struisbaai or Napier Municipal Offices

Any person who is unable to read or write may visit the Municipal Offices during normal office hours, where a staff member will assist in transcribing comments.

UITNODIGING OM KOMMENTAAR TE LEWER OP DIE KONSEP JEUGONTWIKKELINGSBELEID 2026

Kennis geskied hiermee ingevolge Artikel 21 van die Wet op Munisipale Stelsels (Wet 32 van 2000) dat die Munisipale Raad die Konsep Kaap Agulhas Jeugontwikkelingsbeleid op 9 Desember 2025 goedgekeur het en nooi die publiek uit om kommentaar te lewer.

Die doel van hierdie beleid is om ’n samehangende en geïntegreerde raamwerk te voorsien om jeugontwikkeling binne die Munisipaliteit te bevorder, te koördineer en te institusionaliseer. Dit het ten doel om jongmense te bemagtig om hul volle potensiaal te bereik, aktief aan regeringsprosesse deel te neem, en sinvol by te dra tot die sosiale en ekonomiese ontwikkeling van hul gemeenskappe.
