Cape Agulhas Municipality reaffirms commitment to lawful conduct and transparency / Kaap Agulhas Munisipaliteit bevestig verbintenis tot wetlike optrede en dienslewering

Cape Agulhas Municipality acknowledges the circulation of various allegations and speculation. The Municipality affirms that all actions and decisions were taken in accordance with applicable regulations and legislation, as required by the role of the Municipal Manager. These actions were aimed at safeguarding and ensuring uninterrupted service delivery to the community.

Certain allegations have been made, but there is no evidence to support these claims. The nature of the allegations suggests malicious intent to harm and destabilize the reputation of the Municipality. Management remains focused on fulfilling its mandate with integrity, high moral standards, and a commitment to transparency.

As part of its commitment to transparency, the Municipality implemented the investigative processes and will honour their outcomes. All relevant matters have been submitted to Council as required by legislation, and the Municipality will continue to act within the legal framework.

We urge the public not to be distracted by unfounded reports, but rather to join us in restoring team confidence and enhancing service delivery.

Cape Agulhas Municipality remains committed to honest and faithful service to the community and trusts that the truth will ultimately prevail.

Kaap Agulhas Munisipaliteit is bewus van verskeie aantygings en gerugte wat tans die rondte doen. Die Munisipaliteit wil dit duidelik stel dat alle optredes en besluite geneem is in ooreenstemming met toepaslike regulasies en wetgewing, soos vereis deur die rol van die Munisipale Bestuurder. Hierdie optrede was gemik op die beskerming en voortsetting van dienslewering aan die gemeenskap.

Sekere aantygings is gemaak, maar daar bestaan geen bewyse wat hierdie aantygings staaf nie. Die aard van die aantygings dui op kwaadwillige pogings om die reputasie van die Munisipaliteit te benadeel en destabiliseer. Bestuur bly gefokus op die uitvoering van ons mandaat met integriteit, hoë morele standaarde en ’n verbintenis tot deursigtigheid.

As deel van sy verbintenis tot deursigtigheid, het die Munisipaliteit die ondersoekprosesse geïmplementeer en sal die uitkomste daarvan eerbiedig. Alle relevante aangeleenthede is aan die Raad voorgelê soos vereis deur wetgewing, en die Munisipaliteit sal voortgaan om binne die raamwerk van die wet op te tree.

Ons doen ’n beroep op die publiek om nie vas te kyk in ongegronde berigte nie, maar eerder saam met ons te werk aan die herstel van spanvertroue en die verbetering van dienslewering.

Kaap Agulhas Munisipaliteit bly verbind tot eerlike en getroue diens aan die gemeenskap, en vertrou dat die waarheid uiteindelik sal seëvier.
