NOTICE OF EXTENSION OF THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ON THE DRAFT HERITAGE STRATEGY IN TERMS OF THE NATIONAL HERITAGE RESOURCES ACT, 1999, ACT 25 OF 1999 (THE NHRA).

The public comment period on the Draft Heritage Strategy for the Cape Agulhas Municipality has been extended until Friday 23 May 2025.

The Strategy may be viewed at all our offices, libraries and resorts and it is also available on our Website. https://capeagulhas.gov.za/documents/policies-strategies-and-plans/plans-and-strategies/draft/draft-strategies/

The objective of the Heritage Strategy is to guide the identification, assessment, conservation, management and enhancement of the heritage resources, structures and landscapes of the Cape Agulhas Municipality and ensure that the values associated with such resources are appropriately represented.

Any person wishing to submit comments must make such comment in writing to the email address below on or before Friday 23 May 2025.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the limited functioning of the Bredasdorp Post Office, all comments must be submitted via email or delivered to the nearest Municipal Office.

Die publieke komentaar tydperk op die Konsep-erfenisstrategie vir die Kaap Agulhas-munisipaliteit is tot Vrydag 23 Mei 2025 verleng.

Die doelwit van die Erfenisstrategie is om die identifisering, assessering, bewaring en bestuur van erfenishulpbronne, strukture en landskap van die Kaap Agulhas Munisipaliteit te verseker en om te verseker dat waardes wat geassosieer word met hierdie hulpbronne toepaslik verteenwoordig word.

Enige persoon wat kommentaar wil lewer, moet sodanige kommentaar skriftelik indien op die onderstaande e-pos adres, voor of op Vrydag 23 Mei 2025.

LET WEL: As gevolg van minimale funksionering van die Bredasdorp Poskantoor moet alle kommentaar deur epos gestuur word of afgelewer word by die naaste Munisipale Kantore.
